Children and Young Peoples Workforce Level 2 Certificate

The Programme

This is the new Level 2 Certificate for learners who are working or volunteering in a variety of childcare settings with children and young people aged 0-19 years old and who wish to start to develop their knowledge and practice.

This qualification is for those who wish to start to develop their knowledge and practice.It is suitable for learners who are either volunteering or working in a variety of childcare settings and are new to their role.

The award looks at different subjects relevant to your role and consists of 12 mandatory units and learners will need to select up to two optional units.The award will be delivered both with taught sessions usually at Petroc and also through one to one support and assessment within your work place. Candidates will need the agreement of their employer or placement provider as this qualification requires everyone to work together to ensure opportunities are available for assessment.
