The Programme

This course is designed for candidates who are likely to be working at least 12 hours per week employed in an infant, junior, secondary or special school where they provide support within the classroom.

This course will help candidates explore why and how they work effectively. It links practical input in the classroom to legislation and government directives and encourages candidates to plan and evaluate activities for which they are responsible.

The course is delivered in two parts. Part one is the provision of training for knowledge based evidence and part two is the work based assessment which includes the planning of all assessments, the observation of workplace skills and the feedback following assessment.
