Automotive Technician Accreditation (ATA) Senior Paint Technician
The Programme
The ATA is a national voluntary scheme which tests the current competence of individuals working in the retail motor industry. To achieve accreditation technicians must pass a series of practical assessments and an online knowledge test.
The course will involve a practical assessment and an online computer based assessment.
To be eligible to take the assessment, a paint technician must have a minimum level of industry experience in an appropriate role as follows:
- Two years for Paint Technicians
- Five years for Senior Paint Technicians
or
- Hold a relevant NQF qualification at the same level and have a minimum of two years post qualification experience in an appropriate role.
Costs
£385 plus registration fee of £55.
NB: Additional cost may be charged if assessment is not passed on first attempt.
Dates
Flexible enrolment dates available throughout the year.
Length of Study
One year.
