Furniture Production Certificate

The Programme

This course is delivered using a range of activities including demonstrations, workshop practice and projects. It will cover health and safety, timber technology, tool sharpening and maintenance, timber jointing, carcase construction and power tools.

The course is based both in the workshop and in the classroom and will include lectures, open discussions, observation, individual and group work, tutorials and visits. This is a Level 1 course with progression opportunities to a second year at Level 2.

Costs

Costs will be calculated based on current funding availability.

September 2011.

Length of Study

One academic year (36 weeks) on a day release basis (term time only).
