Wood Machining Level 2 Diploma

The Programme

This course is suitable for apprentices and machine operators who wish to gain wood machining qualifications. Candidates will also receive abrasive wheels training leading to certification.

The courses is completed by covering six units including:
Health & Safety in the Workshop
Operation of Various Machines (including circular saws, planers, thicknessers, four sided moulders, single end tenoners, mortising machines and band saws)
Setting and Maintenance of Tooling

Costs

£1,275 plus £82 exam fee.

Dates

Mondays, on a day release basis.

Length of Study

Two academic years.
