Ladder Access and Working at Heights
The Programme
This course is designed to cover the legal requirements by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), stating that all persons using ladder and access equipment are correctly trained on current legislation.
The course has been designed to assist both employers and employees who have certain elements of their working practices involving ladders, scaffolding and working platforms.
There are two main elements that will cover the following:-
Theory:
Hazards and risks arising from the use of ladders and access equipment;
Methods of erecting and dismantling working platforms;
How to store, handle and transport equipment;
How to inspect and test working platforms and ladders for damage;
General conditions, provision and maintenance of all appropriate access equipment;
The use of suitable personal protective equipment (including footwear and clothing).
Practical Assessments:
Erecting and dismantling working platforms;
Erecting and dismantling ladders and access steps.
Each candidate will be assessed on their practical abilities throughout the delivery of this programme.

£70
NB: A ConstructionSkills' grant may be available to companies 'in scope', please enquire for details.
Dates
Courses are run on the last Friday of each month or on request for group bookings.

One day.
