Nutrition and the Elderly

The Programme

A short course aimed at basic nutrition for the elderly; suitable for people working in care homes or in the community caring for the elderly.

This is a two hour Petroc Certificated course covering:
Understanding basic nutrition
Care home responsibilities
Factors that affect the nutritional intake of the elderly
Factors resulting in increased risk in older adults
Recommended nutritional requirements for the elderly
