The Programme
The programme is designed to meet the needs of a specific group of students aged 19+ who require additional time and support to develop work skills and vocational focus.
The Programme Content
The course offers a broad curriculum with an emphasis on the development of work related skills and the further development of personal and social skills. Students also follow a programme of Functional Skills in literacy, numeracy and ICT.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements although students should have a positive commitment to undertaking a regular, weekly work experience placement.
Costs
There is a cost for the educational residential visit plus some exam fees. If you are in receipt of means-tested benefits please bring evidence of these to your interview*.

Progression
Progression routes are varied and can include further vocational courses or training, supported employment schemes or employment.
Length of Study
Up to two years.
Academic Year
This course starts in the 2012 / 2013 academic year.
It’s really good because you get to go on residentials and you get to experience catering. You get to do painting, decorating and woodwork.
