The Programme
This is an introduction to the world of the Health and Social Care and is suitable as a starting point for those individuals without academic qualifications, who are keen to work in a health or social care setting. Entry Requirements
Entry will be dependant on your interview and you will need to show a real interest in working within the health and social care sector.
You will need to have a satisfactory enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check which will show any cautions as well as convictions. If you have any issues on your CRB you will need to discuss this with us as some work placement settings will not allow you to attend without a clear CRB.
Costs
The CRB check costs approximately £54 (it is subject to price changes beyond our control). The course is free to learners aged 16 to 19. You will have to pay for the costs of trips and visits that are part of your course. You will also need a memory stick to store your work on and will need to bring a folder, paper and pens to college with you.
