LEAP 1 Personalised Learning Programme (PLP) - Holsworthy

Course code: HB01

The Programme

This is a part time, flexible course offering learners the chance to study from pre-entry to Level 2.

Each learner has an individual timetable according to their need, ability and previous commitment as well as a personal mentor to support them during their time on the programme. Personalised Learning Programmes lay the foundation for progression to independent living, supported employment, employment, apprenticeships and further training.

The Programme Content

This course provides learners with:
- Tutorial and personal development sessions
- Individual mentoring
- Literacy and numeracy lesson
- National Open College Network (NOCN) qualifications
- Taster sessions throughout Petroc such as Key Skills/Functional Skills, Outdoor Pursuits, Vocational Tasters and Personal Development
- Work Placement
- Liaison and advocacy
- Residentials

There are no formal qualification requirements.

Students can progress to other college courses such as LEAP 2/3 or other vocational areas.
