The Programme
This course will build on the skills you developed at GCSE level and you will continue to improve your knowledge of the French language in the key areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will also develop your knowledge of French speaking countries and have the opportunity to participate in a French exchange.
The Programme Content
You will study a series of topics about France and French speaking countries. You will study two units at AS Level, one Speaking and the other on Listening, Reading and Writing skills. This format is repeated at A2 Level.
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above, preferably a grade B at GCSE French.
Costs
You will be required to buy a French text book at the beginning of the course. The cost of this is approximately £20.

Progression
You may decide to continue with languages at university by studying French at degree level or combine it with another foreign language, English, Law, Business and Management, Media or for use in your future career.
Length of Study
AS Level one year, A Level two years.
Academic Year
This course starts in the 2012 / 2013 academic year.
I enjoyed it at Petroc and I liked my teachers, especially the Science teachers - they were very good.
