Course code: FTB085

The Programme

The course is split into six units or modules which may include study rehearsal and performance, singing, dance performance, voice and the possibility of variety performance. The main aim of the programme is to cover theatre productions which have a musical flavour.

The Programme Content

Students rehearse, perform in, organise and sometimes crew these productions in and outside of normal college hours. Students paint and construct sets, props and in some cases, light. They also provide sound and music for the shows - all while being advised and supported by staff. It is vital to note that all students will be expected to learn the basics of singing, dancing, acting and general music theatre performance. The course will go alongside an A Level programme of study.
