Philosophy of Religion A Level - Barnstaple

The Programme
This is a multi-dimensional course which develops your ability to think rationally about religion, ethics, human experiences and the world.
The Programme Content
The AS Level course introduces religious studies and includes units on the philosophy of religion and religion, philosophy and science. In A2 Level topics include the ontological argument; the validity of religious language; the problem of evil and the mind body and soul.
Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at grade C or above. A grade C or above in GCSE religious studies would be beneficial.
Costs
Study visits may be organised for which there is an additional cost*.

Barnstaple Campus
Progression
On completion, students have the opportunity to enrol in higher education and study religious studies and the philosophy of religion. It may also be useful for those students who want to begin a career in a caring profession.
Length of Study
AS Level one year, A Level two years.
Academic Year
This course starts in the 2012 / 2013 academic year.
Further Information
Petroc has really nice, modern facilities including the new gym and the PCs in the learning centre are up-to-date. It is a good friendly environment and a lot of support is offered to those that need it.
