The Programme
The aim of the course is to open doors to study for applicants who do not have the specific A Level qualification pre-requisites that they normally need to enter a degree programme.
The Programme Content
There are many reasons why this course may suit you, you may be a student who has completed some qualifications and can show the right level of skill and maturity for this programme or, you may be a mature applicant and have not studied A Levels but possess a wealth or work and experience in your chosen field. This course can be studied as a Level 3 programme or as the first step towards a foundation degree at Petroc, awarded by the University of Plymouth. The course provides a broad programme of study that includes core modules of IT, Study Skills and Maths/English as appropriate, as well as more specialist modules that will enable you to progress.
Access courses are available in the following areas:
Art and Design
Music Production
Performance Studies
Combined Studies
Costs
Course fees of £600 plus registration and exam fee. In addition, there will be a studio fee of £90.

Barnstaple Campus
Progression
Students will normally progress to do one of our Foundation Degrees in either Music Performance or Music Technology. Some students choose to apply to universities outside of the area
Length of Study
One year full time.
Academic Year
This course starts in the 2012 / 2013 academic year.
