Progression
Employability is a key feature of all Foundation Degrees. The Childcare Workforce Development Council requires graduate employees in all full day care settings from 2015. Children's centres and multi-professional teams are possible areas of employment. The transferable skills gained through the activities and study programme will enable you to apply for employment in a wider range of sectors; planning and managing projects and working in teams are some of these skills. Before successfully completing of the Foundation Degree students have the option to apply to progress to the final year of the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies degree at Plymouth University or Somerset College. Please note there is a progression application deadline and places may be subject to availability.
