The Programme

An exciting opportunity to study events management. The course focuses on the skills required to be a dynamic events manager and explores many supervisory and management functions such as financial planning, client care and legal aspects. The learner will also develop marketing and creativity skills and ultimately implement a professional and engaging event in the final year of study at college.

The Programme Content

To be successful within the event sectors, event professionals require many skills; time planning, ability to work under pressure, creativity, problem solving and communication skills. The programme focuses on these aspects and modules include:
Marketing for events
Organisational behaviour
Hospitality for events
Legal aspects
Event design and the media
Event planning and implementation
Developing graduate skills

Entry Requirements

Students should have prior attainment of a Level 3 qualification achieving 80 ucas points but you may also be considered if they have relevant employment experience.

Costs

Some educational visit costs may occur and students will need to purchase at least one core text per module.

Progression

Upon successful completion students may apply to pursue a full BSc (Hons) Events Management at Plymouth University.
