Apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle

The motor vehicle apprenticeship can be completed at two different levels and covers the service and repair of modern vehicles. The Level 2 will require you to remove and replace a range of components in the areas of suspension, transmission, engines, electrical, brakes and steering. Evidence from the workplace will go towards a portfolio of evidence. At Level 3 you will be required to diagnose and rectify a range of faults related to light vehicles.
The Programme Content
Knowledge will be assessed by a technical diploma in both theory and practical subjects and be completed at college.
Entry Requirements
No formal entry requirements however other appropriate prior learning such as the completion of a Level 1 Award in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be beneficial.
Costs
You will need to supply overalls and suitable safety footwear.

Progression
Candidate can progress onto an appropriate Level 3 qualification in the Motor Vehicle Industry.
Length of Study
Two years, part time, day release course, work based learning.
