The Programme
This Level 3 Certificate in IT offers a specialist qualification that focuses on particular aspects of employment within the IT vocational sector. This qualification is suitable for 16-19 candidates as well as for more mature learners.
Suitable for students aged 16 and over. Please ring to enquire about any exceptions.
Entry Requirements
A BTEC Level 2 qualification in IT or related vocational area
OR
A general education equivalent to four GCSE's at grade A*-C
OR
other related Level 2 qualifications
OR
related work experience
NB: Mature applicants are encouraged to apply who may not meet the above minimum education standards.

What is CERTIFICATE IN IT LEVEL 3?
This qualification provides candidates with the knowledge and skills to help them develop a broader understanding of all key aspects needed to function in an Information Technology job role.
Are there any entry requirements?
A BTEC Level 2 qualification in IT or related vocational area OR A general education equivalent to four GCSE's at grade A*-C OR other related Level 2 qualifications OR related work experience NB: Mature applicants are encouraged to apply who may not meet the above minimum education standards.

The course will run from either January to July or September to January.
Who is the course for?
This qualification is ideal for those who have a genuine interest in Computing. The qualification could be used as part of professional development or as a stepping stone into study at a higher level.
What is the course content?
To achieve this qualification you will need to complete the two mandatory units plus one optional unit

Computer Systems
Optional Unit:
Client Side Customisation of Web Pages

The course is assessed by means of coursework.
