Apprenticeship in Construction - Multi Trades (Maintenance Operations)

There is a strong emphasis on developing good hand skills using a wide range of hand and power tools for each trade area.
The Apprenticeship is a combination of training at college and experience gained as an employee in the workplace. At college you will be trained in trade specific tasks to complete a Construction Diploma in Maintenance Operations; this entails working through a series of practical models in our workshops and theory units delivered in the classroom.
The Programme Content
On site you will cover assessments on specified tasks that are discussed and planned with your work based Assessor in co-ordination with your employer. There are additional qualifications which must be achieved as part of the apprenticeship package which are Employer Rights and Responsibilities and Functional Skills level 2.
Entry Requirements
Candidates will undertake an interview prior to enrolment. Candidates should have an aptitude for practical skills and must be employed within the industry by a construction maintenance company before the start of the Apprenticeship.

Progression
On completion candidates may progress onto Level 3 supervisory/management qualifications or a Foundation Degree.
Length of Study
Two years
The lecturers are very accommodating, it gives you a lot more opportunities, helps you with the financial side, if you struggle with something, the lecturers will help you one on one. It’s a friendly atmosphere. It’s enjoyable to come and do a course here.
