The Programme

Learn essential mapping and moorland safety from a qualified and experienced instructor. Discover how to use your compass to walk safely and confidently even at night or when the fog rolls across the moors.

Advice will be given on clothing, footwear and equipment.

Suitable for students aged 16 and over. Please ring to enquire about any exceptions.

Progression

A previous group went with the tutor on a Dartmoor weekend walking trip and some other students have gone on to take the DCC Moorland Leadership course - qualification.
