The piece is a collection of responses to the life and works of Pablo Picasso. Born in 1881, Picasso is widely recognised as one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century, producing more than twenty thousand works of art. The happenings in his personal life were as plentiful as his work and featured the subject matter for much his repertoire.
The blurred lines between his life and work set the tone for the piece, exploring the man, his relationships and his inspiration. "Are we to paint what's on the face, what's inside the face, or what's behind it?"
