Foundation Degrees in Art

Qualifications, inspiration, opportunities, a change or just knowing more.

Our Foundation Degrees in Art offer all that and more - and a caring, considered environment in which to study. Petroc is about giving you the time, space and resources to see things clearer, and help to identify what you want to do and why.

If you’re local, studying at Petroc could be cheaper and more convenient. We also have smaller class sizes which mean you benefit from more personal attention and top quality teaching. Our Foundation Degrees can also be studied on a full or part time basis, which can provide greater flexibility and the opportunity to work while you study.

Art Foundation Degree courses develop skills and ideas within Ceramics, Fine Art and Illustration. Study includes practical and theoretical work embracing individual and group activities. A body of work prepared at each stage forms the core of assessed material, this is supplemented by written documentation, peer co-operation and presentations made by the students.
