Welcome to Tiverton Campus Sixth Form

A warm welcome from Donna Townsend, Head of the new Tiverton Campus Sixth Form:

The partnership between Tiverton High School and Petroc, creating the Tiverton Campus Sixth Form is exciting news for students entering post 16 education in Tiverton and the surrounding areas.

This new partnership will ensure a smooth transition from high school to further education by providing both pastoral and lecturing support for learners coming to us starting in 2011.

The exchange of lecturing staff and sharing of facilities means that lecturers and teachers alike will have a wider view of the educational experience from 14 to 19.

The sharing of facilities will mean that students will have access to the best facilities both campuses have to offer.

We will also encourage joint participation in enrichment activities so that the students’ experience will be greatly enhanced.  
I am proud to be a part of the formation of this partnership and what it means to Tiverton and its wider community.

Students can now be assured that staff at both the High School and Petroc are working toward them being able to access excellence on their doorsteps.

• As well as being Head of Tiverton Campus Sixth Form, Donna Townsend is a mathematics lecturer and Deputy Head of Petroc’s School of Humanities and Science.
