Petroc’s Advice and Guidance Event on Wednesday 16 March saw around 300 visitors to the College’s new Brannams Campus in Roundswell.
Visitors were able to get advice and guidance about Careers, Apprenticeships, Full and Part Time courses and Foundation Degrees from college lecturing staff, local employers and careers advisors.
The event was also the perfect opportunity for the College to show off its new Brannams Campus which is home to its construction, theatre, art and dance facilities.
From Screwfix to Exmoor Zoo and from the RAF to Brend Hotels, the College was pleased to welcome such a range of employers and careers advisors who were able to offer advice on their particular industry; from the jobs within that area to the qualifications & skills needed to succeed in that industry.
“It was certainly a success and we were really pleased we attended as we saw an A Level student who we feel could be ideal to recruit,” said Gary Holder from Webbers Property Services in Barnstaple.
Visitors were also able to enjoy campus tours, demonstrations in various construction disciplines and an exhibition by British abstract artist, Patrick Jones.
