Petroc’s School of Architecture, Construction and the Built Environment held its annual Prize Giving Evening recently in celebration of the outstanding achievements and successes of their learners.
The annual event which started in the 1960’s forms part of the heritage of Petroc in recognising student’s excellence, achievements and hard work. The evening provided the opportunity for parents and employers of students to join together and celebrate individual achievements.
Awards ranged from those who achieved excellence in their vocational area through to those that showed outstanding commitment and hard work.
A total of 36 awards were presented by Simon Boorer Director of Optimum Heating, and Head of School, Neil Hookway. Tools were provided by Plumbing Trade Supplies and presented by Tim Bristow to winners of a separate Pipework competition as part of the plumbing vocational area. Trophies and Tools were also provided to learners within the plastering academy by La Farge as part of that vocational area.
