Petroc Water Polo Team Qualify for the National Finals
Petroc Water Polo team competed at the English Schools Southern Plate Championships which was hosted by Charterhouse.
Petroc produced outstanding performances and have now qualified for the National Finals. All the student athletes were impeccable in terms of behaviour and sports performances.
After a slow start and a narrow loss to a strong Eton team, Petroc got into top gear and played excellent polo to thrash both Northampton and Harrow. With a draw needed to progress to the national champs the boys did Petroc proud playing outstanding polo against the hosts to draw 3-3, to qualify for the national plate championships.
The Petroc team would like to dedicate their wins to a missing vital member of the team; Alfie Reed who is unfortunately away from his studies due to illness. Get well soon Alfie! Overall an excellent day out and experience for all.
Here are the results:
- Eton 2 1 Petroc
- Petroc 8 0 Northampton
- Harrow 0 6 Petroc
- Charterhouse 3 3 Petroc
