Jonathan Cooper’s role involves generating interest in the Academy and further growing the network. Jonathan leads on General Food & Drink, Dairy, Robotics & Automation, Engineering Maintenance and Food Manufacturing Excellence ensuring a broad depth of valuable knowledge to delegates. David Bennet will be on hand to provide the necessary legislative information together with the new Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (which will replace the present 'Scores on the Doors' scheme).
Also, The South West Regional Skills Project will explain how local employers can benefit from a fund that will put 50% towards course fees for all food related businesses, from manufacturing to fork. The project will fund 50% course fees for all food related businesses who enrol onto courses which are relevant to the growth of their business i.e. Food Safety, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), Business Improvement Techniques, Leader and Management etc.
Light refreshments will be served on the day by students in Petroc’s Tawstock Restaurant, with Miles Tea and Coffee Merchants from Porlock kindly donating the drinks.
