Uffculme students' success at Petroc Tiverton
Pupils from Uffculme School have successfully completed a hospitality course at Petroc in Tiverton.
The learners have attended the College one day a week, as part of the Links programme, alongside their regular GCSE studies at school. And this Level 1 NVQ makes them better prepared for life, work and further education at Petroc.
In all, six students passed. Lauren Tapp was singled out for her commitment to the course, having achieved 100 per cent attendance.
Petroc catering lecturer Karen Rivers said: “It is such an amazing achievement for these students to gain such a recognised qualification in a realistic setting, here at the College’s Exe Restaurant.”
