‘Life’ at Petroc’s Goodwin Gallery
Petroc’s Goodwin Gallery is hosting an exhibition exploring the human figure through the eyes of several local artists, later this month (28 November 2011).
‘Life’ features work produced in two and three dimensions around the theme. It opens in the gallery space at the college’s Brannams Campus in Barnstaple, on November 28 and is open to the public on weekdays until December 16.
The exhibition is sponsored by Turnstyle Designs, The Sign shop and Hamiltons Nissan.
It will also be open on Saturday December 10, alongside an Arts and Crafts Fair at the campus.
Petroc’s School of Creative Industries has developed an exciting program of exhibitions for the coming months, including several student shows, the diverse range of work by the artist David Cowper and a specially curated, month-long illustration exhibition featuring work from a national selection.
The 2011-12 run finishes with the end of year degree shows that attracted about 600 people on its opening night, last year.
Plans are already in place for exhibitions of national significance to be held at the end of next year and in 2013.
