Petroc School of Architecture, Construction and the Built Environment awards
Petroc’s School of Architecture, Construction and the Built Environment (ACBE) held its annual Prize Giving Evenings at the Barnstaple and Tiverton Campuses, recently (December 2011).
The annual events celebrated the achievements and successes of students, for the 2010/11 academic year, with prize-winners selected by their course tutors.
Parents and employers were on hand to congratulate the 21 winners, ranging from those who achieved excellence in their vocational area, to those who showed outstanding commitment and hard work.
The awards were presented by guest speaker, Martin Hook of Energy Specialists, along with Petroc’s lecturers and the new Head of the School of ACBE, Nick Welch. Also at the Barnstaple event was Paul Gould of James Electrics, who is chair of Construction Advisory.
Among the prize-winners, were Riona Moroney and Tedd Boulton, who won tools generously donated by Plumbing Trade Supplies.
Petroc’s School of Lifestyle students provided the catering for the event, which was very well received.
Nick Welch said: “As a school we are very proud of our student successes.
“The Prize Giving is a wonderful opportunity to bring together students, with their tutors, parents and employers to celebrate their achievements.”
