University of Plymouth Colleges
Petroc works in partnership with the University of Plymouth as a member of the University of Plymouth Colleges Faculty (UPC) to offer university courses to a broad range of learners in the region.
UPC is nationally recognised as one of the largest, longest established and best developed partner college networks in the country. All of our HE learners have the same rights and status as other University of Plymouth students.
You will benefit from the services that your college can provide as well as the extra support and resources on offer at the University's campus. Together we aim to offer the benefits of a large university with all the advantages of being taught in a smaller community atmosphere. Students are entitled to use the University's library, access electronic resources and learning support materials through the web based student portal, become a member of the University of Plymouth Students' Union (UPSU).
Through the college, you can gain assistance from the university's support and advice resources, such as its Careers Service, Disability ASSIST Services (DAS) and the International Student Advisory Service (ISAS).
Studying a UPC course gives you the opportunity to progress onto specified University of Plymouth Honours Degrees.
Why chose UPC?
- If you're local, studying at Petroc could be cheaper and more convenient
- Courses are designed with assistance from local employers
- Smaller class sizes, personal attention and top quality teaching
- Planned progression routes to Honours Degrees
- All the benefits of the University of Plymouth and Petroc
