Access Courses
Access is for learners who wish to take a university level course, but lack the normal entrance requirements for HE.
The courses are recognised by universities and other HE institutions as an alternative to standard A Level entry.
The aim of the course is to open doors to study for applicants who do not have the specific A Level qualification pre-requisites that they normally need to enter a degree programme.
There are many reasons why this route may suit you; you may be a student who has completed some qualifications and can show the right level of skill and maturity for this programme or you may be a mature applicant and who has not studied A Levels but possesses a wealth of experience in the your chosen field. The courses provide a broad programme of study that includes core modules and more specialist modules that will enable you to progress.
We also offer the BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies which provides a link between the skills acquired during A Level or National Diploma and the demands of specialist programmes in Higher Education.
Pathways are available in the following areas:
- Access to Combined Studies (Barnstaple)
- Humanites or Science - Access to Health & Social Care (Barnstaple)
- Access to Art and Design (Barnstaple)
- Access to Music Production (Barnstaple)
- Access to Performance Studies (Barnstaple
- Access to Higher Education Diploma (Tiverton)
- BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art & Design (Barnstaple)
