Entry Requirements

Although formal qualifications are not always needed, an interest in music technology and some relevant experience would be desirable.

The Programme

This full-time modular course is aimed at giving people the skills they need to work in the music technology industry. It is coursework based so has no exam at the end.

The Programme Content

Modules will include:
Sound Recording - using the recording studio
MIDI Sequencing - using computers to create music
Music Business - contracts, royalties etc.
Live Sound - setting up and use of equipment for a live gig
Special Subject Investigation - research into an area of interest to you

Progression / Careers

This course will give you the skills to progress into a job in the music industry or a relevant HE course.
