Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson Governor

Andrew was born and educated in Warwickshire, before moving to the South West to embark on a graduate program in animal nutrition. During this period, he studied at the Open University prior to progressing into the pharmaceuticals sector which provided the opportunity for greater personal development and extensive travel outside of the UK.

Andrew’s career evolved into general management and, prior to making the decision to step down in May 2020, he had been a CEO for 21 years. During this period, Andrew also held several additional governance roles as either a Non-Exec Director, Governor or Trustee.

Andrew remains enthusiastic about working with people and the dynamics of business, and since stepping back from full-time employment, now works with several organisations in a mentoring capacity assisting them in enhancing the overall performance of their businesses – which he finds very fulfilling – whilst also retaining some non-Executive roles.

Semi-retirement is now providing Andrew – and his lovely wife of 38 years – more time to enjoy country living and the opportunity to spend more time with the immediate family.
