Biography

Shaun is our HE Faculty Manager, Assistant Practitioner Programme Lead, Nursing and Health & Social Care HE/FE Lecturer. He has a varied background in health and social care ranging from health promotion in the leisure and sport industry through to first aid, lifeguarding and patient moving and handling training in a variety of community settings. Shaun’s interests are within the field of emergency care where he worked as a community first responder for 14 years with South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust and supported the delivery of Resuscitation Council (UK) Immediate Life Support (ILS) courses for a number of local NHS Trusts. Shaun has taught for over 20 years in both further and higher education and has a specific educational interest within workforce development.

Qualifications: MA Education, First Class BA (Hons) Sport and Leisure Studies, Certificate of Education, Resuscitation Council (UK) Immediate Life Support (ILS) Instructor.
