If you are beginning a new programme of study or continuing your studies at Petroc, you could be eligible to apply for a bus pass through the Petroc Transport Scheme.
The cost of the 2019/20 bus pass is £558 (reduced amount for learners studying 1 or 2 days) and provides you with transport to college using the public route that operates closest to your home address. If you qualify for the college bursary scheme the pass will be free, although you will be required to pay £1 if you order a smartcard from the Stagecoach website (see bursary information below). Application for this scheme is available via your student account.
The Devon County Council transport scheme has significantly changed so please take some time to understand the eligibility criteria. If you do qualify, please contact Devon County Council on 0345 155 1019 or visit www.devon.gov.uk/school_transport to apply.
If you live in Cornwall, Cornwall County Council will arrange travel if you are entitled under their scheme. If you qualify for the college bursary, the pass will be free (see bursary information below). To access a free pass, learners must complete a CCC online application form and the bursary application form which is found on 'MyPetroc'. The bursary fund will then make the payment on your behalf and send it to CCC who will issue your pass. If you do not qualify for the bursary you will need to pay for your ticket via their website. If you are not entitled to the CCC transport scheme you may qualify under Petroc’s transport scheme (see details above).
You may also be eligible to receive funding from various bursaries including 16-18 Bursary Fund, Advanced Learner Loan Bursary and 19+ Bursary.
