Since 2011 Petroc has secured in excess of £20 million to develop inspiring facilities for students and support the delivery of exceptional teaching and learning. Large parts of the North Devon Campus have already been redeveloped, including the transformation of the college’s C Block into an energy efficient, multi-functional learning centre, the installation of a new fitness suite and the building of a bespoke facility for supported learning students.
In February 2014 work began on the £3 million Future Technologies Centre in Mid Devon; a science and engineering hub to accommodate a wide range of technology-related curriculum areas. A state-of-the art facility for supported learning students has been built at the Campus, called the Liberty Centre. In North Devon work has been completed on the £10.8 million project, building a Lifestyle and Tourism Centre and an Engineering Centre of Excellence. The Engineering Centre of Excellence opened in 2015 and the Lifestyle and Tourism Centre opened in October 2016.
All the projects support the college’s ongoing, dynamic estates strategy.
