Since 2011 Petroc has secured in excess of £20 million to develop inspiring facilities for students and support the delivery of exceptional teaching and learning. Large parts of the North Devon Campus have already been redeveloped, including the transformation of the college’s C Block into an energy efficient, multi-functional learning centre, the installation of a new fitness suite and the building of a bespoke facility for supported learning students.
In February 2014 work began on the £3 million Future Technologies Centre in Mid Devon; a science and engineering hub to accommodate a wide range of technology-related curriculum areas. A state-of-the art facility for supported learning students is also being built at the Campus. In North Devon work has already begun on the £10.8 million project to build a Lifestyle and Tourism Centre and an Engineering Centre of Excellence, both of which will open in September 2015.
All the projects support the college’s ongoing, dynamic estates strategy.
