Petroc Transport Scheme
If you are continuing with your study at Petroc, you could be eligible to apply for a bus pass through the Petroc Transport Scheme.
The cost of the 2017/18 bus pass is £540 and provides you with transport to college using the public route that operates closest to your home address. If you qualify for the college bursary scheme the pass would be free (see bursary information below).

Devon County Council (DCC) Transport Scheme
If you had a DCC pass this academic year (2016/17) and you are continuing onto the second year of your programme, you may still qualify for a DCC pass.
The cost of the DCC pass for 2017/18 for returning learners is £580. If you qualify for the college bursary scheme the pass would be free (see bursary information below).
The Devon County Council transport scheme has significantly changed so please take some time to understand the eligibility criteria. If you do qualify, DCC will send you an application form, which you must complete and return to the council. If you have not received this form and you are continuing at college, please contact Devon County Council on 0345 155 1019 or visit www.devon.gov.uk/school_transport.
Cornwall County Council (CCC) Transport Scheme
If you live in Cornwall, Cornwall County Council will arrange travel if you are entitled under their scheme. If you qualify for the college bursary the pass would be free (see bursary information below). To access a free pass, learners must complete a transport application form and return it to the Guidance Centre at Barnstaple. The bursary fund will then make the payment on your behalf and send it to CCC who will issue your pass. If you do not qualify for the bursary you will need to pay for your ticket, download an application from the CCC website and send to the Guidance Centre with your cheque.

College Bursary - Qualifying Rules for Transport
16 to 18-year-olds
If you have a low household income and live more than three miles away from college, you may be able to access bursary funding and qualify for a FREE bus pass. For full details of the eligibility criteria for the College Bursary, please visit www.petroc.ac.uk/16-18-bursary
Exemptions to the bursary policy can be considered on an individual basis so please speak to us about how the bursary might be able help you. We are currently in the process of renewing our bursary policy which will be based on Government funding announcements due in March.
Advanced Learner Loan Bursary (19-years-old and over)
To be eligible for support through the Advanced Learner Loan Bursary (ALLB), and qualify for a FREE bus pass, you will need to be enrolled with Petroc on a part-time or full-time course, and live more than three miles away from college. Adult Learner Support Fund (19-years-old and over, and not eligible for Advanced Learner Loan)
To be eligible for support through the Adult Learner Support Fund (ALSF), and qualify for a FREE bus pass, you will need to be enrolled with Petroc on a part-time or full-time course, and live more than three miles away from college.
