Job Vacancies

Petroc is one of the leading education providers in the South West, delivering a wide-ranging further and higher education curriculum throughout Devon and beyond.

We are one of the largest employers in the area, with approximately 800 members of staff supporting an annual cohort of over 16,000 learners, ranging in age from 14 to 80+ years! This figure includes apprentices and A Level, vocational and degree students studying both on site and in the workplace, and also the learners benefitting from our distance learning programmes. We pride ourselves on our forward-thinking, passionate and highly-skilled staff who make Petroc a vibrant, inspirational and exciting place to work and study.

We are committed to being an equal opportunities employer, always selecting staff on the basis of ability and the requirements of the post, detailed in the Person Specification.

When it comes to results, Petroc was in the top 9% of colleges in the country for both A Levels and Extended Diplomas in the 2015 DfE performance tables, our apprenticeship success rates are consistently above the national average and 1 in 3 students on our BA Honours programme achieved a first in 2015.

Petroc is central to the economic, social and cultural needs of our surrounding communities and we work closely with local employers to shape our curriculum to ensure we are meeting local training demands. Over the past five years we have secured over £20 million of investment to transform large parts of our campuses to create bespoke, innovative and inspiring learning and working environments for our students, staff and visitors.
