Petroc is one of the leading education providers in the South West, delivering a wide-ranging further and higher education curriculum throughout Devon and beyond.

We are one of the largest employers in the area, with approximately 800 members of staff supporting an annual cohort of over 10,000 learners, ranging in age from 14 to 80+ years! This figure includes apprentices and A-level, vocational and degree students studying both on site and in the workplace, and also the learners benefitting from our distance learning programmes. CHIEF EXECUTIVE - INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

South West England

We are looking for a Chief Executive to provide outstanding leadership for a new Institute of Technology (IoT) company that will drive world-class technical education in the South West of England.

 Our IoT has been forged by partnership of six colleges, two universities, two Local Enterprise Partnership and leading regional employers to:

-provide employers with the skills that they need to succeed, now and in the future

-provide learners with excellent technical education

-enable the South West to become one of the world's leading regions for digital, engineering and manufacturing technologies

We are looking for a Chief Executive, on a one year secondment from one of the HE or FE Anchor Partners organisations. Working to the IoT Company Board, you will recruit a team of staff; promote a culture of collaboration and ethos of excellence across the partnership; and support the Board in translating its IoT vision into reality.

As well as providing strategic and day-to-day leadership and direction, you will oversee the effective delivery of a multi-million pound programme of capital investment, working closely with both the Department for Education and IoT partners to deliver the partnership's targets and responsibilities under IoT Licence and Capital Funding Agreements.

Through a collaborative partnership with the University of Bolton, we are looking to deliver Nursing Degrees in the North Devon area.  A number of nursing lecturing vacancies are available which will be based at the North Devon District Hospital and the Petroc North Devon Campus in Barnstaple, contracted through the University of Bolton.
