Petroc is one of the leading education providers in the South West, delivering a wide-ranging further and higher education curriculum throughout Devon and beyond.

We are one of the largest employers in the area, with approximately 800 members of staff supporting an annual cohort of over 10,000 learners, ranging in age from 14 to 80+ years! This figure includes apprentices and A-level, vocational and degree students studying both on site and in the workplace, and also the learners benefitting from our distance learning programmes. GOVERNOR

We are seeking a committed individual who shares our vision for high standards in further and higher education to join our Governing Body.  We especially wish to recruit an individual who is a qualified accountant, one who values the work that we do for young people and adults.

NURSING LECTURER OPPORTUNITIES

Through a collaborative partnership with the University of Bolton, we are looking to deliver Nursing Degrees in the North Devon area.  A number of nursing lecturing vacancies are available which will be based at the North Devon District Hospital and the Petroc North Devon Campus in Barnstaple, contracted through the University of Bolton.

FACULTY MANAGER - ENGINEERING and IT

Mid Devon Campus (Tiverton)

37 per week x 52 weeks per year

Rate of pay:

Fixed at £40,606

Additional Information

This role is expected to deliver  660 hours of teaching in addition to managing a department and teaching staff.

Candidates will be qualified teachers, ideally with a background in engineering to deliver elements including:

  • Electrical
  • Electronics
  • Some maths
  • Fluid Mechanics
  • Interpreting drawings
  • Assignments

In addition to the engineering modules, there will be support required for teaching IT to HE learners.

LECTURER/ASSESOR HOSPITALITY & CATERING

Additional Information

The hospitality and tourism section at Petroc are looking for a chef lecturer/assessor to cover practical cookery classes up to level 3 professional cookery.     

Applicants must possess strong technical skills, have a sound knowledge of theoretical practices and have excellent communication skills and relevant industrial experience.

The ideal candidate should also hold Level 3 professional cookery or equivalent.
