We are one of the largest employers in the area, with approximately 800 members of staff supporting an annual cohort of over 10,000 learners, ranging in age from 14 to 80+ years! This figure includes apprentices and A Level, vocational and degree students studying both on site and in the workplace, and also the learners benefitting from our distance learning programmes. We pride ourselves on our forward-thinking, passionate and highly-skilled staff who make Petroc a vibrant, inspirational and exciting place to work and study.

We are committed to being an equal opportunities employer, always selecting staff on the basis of ability and the requirements of the post, detailed in the Person Specification.

Petroc is central to the economic, social and cultural needs of our surrounding communities and we work closely with local employers to shape our curriculum to ensure we are meeting local training demands. Over the past five years we have secured over £20 million of investment to transform large parts of our campuses to create bespoke, innovative and inspiring learning and working environments for our students, staff and visitors.
