Dog Grooming Studio

Make your pooch look fabulous and healthy!

A dog being washed and groomed

At Petroc’s Dog Grooming Studio we provide treatments to make your pooch look and feel fabulous and healthy, and from the moment your dog steps into our studio they will receive the best possible care and attention.

We offer services for all dogs - from puppy’s first groom to easy-access facilities for elderly dogs – and use a range of professional-grade shampoos and conditioners for all skin and coat types (but you are welcome to bring your pet’s own shampoos if prescribed by your vet).

Our Level 3 City & Guilds Dog Grooming students are always looking for model dogs. We are particularly keen to see Spaniels, dogs with woolly or silky coats, and wire-haired Terriers for hand stripping. All our groomers have gained a Level 2 qualification, have a great deal of experience, and will be supervised at all times.

The Dog Grooming Studio is located at the North Devon campus on Old Sticklepath Hill, Barnstaple. On arrival, please head to the Animal Centre.

We have a car parking space, which can be used for drop off and pick up only. If you wish to stay longer and enjoy other Petroc facilities such as the gym, spa or restaurant, you will need to pay and display in the main car park.

Should you need to dispose of your pet’s waste whilst onsite, we have designated bins located at the Animal Centre for you to use and we do insist that all waste is picked up and removed.

Please ensure that your dog is on a lead at all times while on-site.

Our playing fields beside the Animal Centre are used for sporting events so we are unable to exercise dogs in this area, however, the location of Petroc presents some lovely walks nearby and we are happy to discuss these with you.
