Do you have ambitions to go to university or take your career to the next level? Or perhaps you have a new career in mind? Is it a while since you’ve done any studying? Are you concerned that a lack of formal qualifications may hold you back?
If you’ve answered yes to one of these questions then you should seriously consider joining our Access to Access (A2A) course.
Specifically designed to support you in progressing onto Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diplomas which provide an entry to a university programme.
This programme will enable you to develop a whole range of study skills including time management, writing skills, working in groups and IT skills, alongside which you will be able to take GCSE English and Maths as well as taking part in tasters to help prepare you for your next step.
There will be a variety of assessment methods including written assignments, class-based work, presentations and examinations for the GCSE English and Maths elements.
This course leads on to any of our Access to Higher Education Diplomas.
Petroc has a range of resources to help you with your studies including excellent library and IT facilities, along with classrooms equipped with modern teaching technologies. Our staff are always there to provide any advice and assistance that you may require.

Q. Will I have to pay for my course?
A. Maybe not - the course will be free for the majority of applicants and you can talk to our Guidance Centre staff when you come in for an informal discussion.
Q. I've not studied for a long time so would this be the right course for me?
A. Yes, our staff understand that it can be difficult to return to education and are fully committed to supporting you.
