This one year course covers all aspects of professional cookery and continues learning from a completed level. It is a professional cookery course for learners who wish to perfect their NVQ2 skills and progression for chefs in the industry.

This course offers great opportunities to perfect fine dining dishes and techniques.

The culinary syllabus includes:
- desserts
- dough products
- butchery
- fish

You will also watch guest chef demonstrations and visit local businesses.

The skills learnt are a progression from a Level 2 NVQ or VRQ2 Professional cookery.
You will undertake continual assessment within our professionally-equipped kitchens. Short answer questions will also form part of the course. Support will be available if required.
A Level 2 VRQ or NVQ in Professional Cookery.
Upon completion of this course, you could progress to university, own your own business, or take management opportunities.
We supply all food and equipment except chefs whites/uniform and knives.
You will be required to bring in your knife set and Chefs whites - including safety shoes. You will also meed to bring pen and notepad.
