This course is designed for those wishing to gain a recognised and practical qualification proving knowledge and competence via part-time study and on-the-job training. It reflects the skills and knowledge required when working in a Business Administration role. It can be used as a stopgap - whereby still obtaining a useful and transferable qualification and that all important work reference.
A practical course with a valuable qualification which also incorporates career advice and guidance.
This course is perfect for non-apprentices wanting to evidence both knowledge and competence in their given Business Administration role.
All units will be assessed using the verified model.
During the course you will cover:
- Business Administration
- ICT Functional Skills level 1
- Work Experience for two days each week
- Maths and English resit day
- Career guidance and progression- Full-time 18 week course
- High quality work experience designed as integral element of course
- Close linkage to local employers
- Combined qualification containing both knowledge and competence units
This course is assessed using a variety of methods with support from your tutor and assessor. Evidence of occupational competence on all competence (practical) units will be generated and collected under work-based conditions. ICT will be externally moderated via an exam. There is one external examination and three internally assessed assignment based units.
All entrants must hold 4 GCSEs at grade 2 or equivalent or above, preferably including Maths and English.
Entrants who do not have a GCSE grade 3 in Maths and/or English will continue studying these subjects.
At the end of the year, you are expected to have completed and achieved all the components of your Level 1 Study Programme and improved your Maths and English skills before progressing to your next course.
Upon completion there will be opportunities for successful candidates to progress onto a Level 3 Apprenticeship, a full-time level 3 course, or gain full-time employment.
Please bring money for printing, lunch and parking. You will also need to bring a USB, notepaper, pens and a lever arch folder.
