Enhanced Adults Skills for the Future - Redundancy Support
Mid Devon Campus
COVID-19 has, without a doubt, ripped through the nation's job market. Petroc is here to help anyone at risk of redundancy or who has been made redundant within the last three months. This course will support you with the tools that you may need in order to regain meaningful employment.
Supporting you through what will undoubtedly be one of life's greatest challenges.
Upon enrolment, you will receive a Careers, Advice and Guidance appointment with your tutor; this will allow you to explore a range of career opportunities open to you.
Petroc will then tailor your course to fit your desired outcome, depending on what you hope to achieve from your chosen career and what roles you have previously completed. However, each course will cover the following elements:
- Petroc's certificated digital skills programme. This will ensure you are equipped with the digital content knowledge needed in today's fast-paced work environments.
- Up-skilling in Maths and/or English - if required. Within this element of the course, you will have the ability to study online using our intuitive platform which will provide you with bite-sized nuggets of the things you need to learn rather than covering an entire course curriculum.
- Mindset support, using a range of VESPA tools to help guide you back onto a positive career track.
Assessments for the numeracy and literacy elements will be through an online functional skills exam. All other elements of this supportive programme will be via internal assessment.
In order to complete this course you must either be at risk of redundancy or have been made redundant in the last three months.
The aim of this course is to support you back into meaningful employment, you may however wish to enrol onto further courses of study at Petroc.
The course will take place at our Mid Devon campus.
