Not ready to start a college qualification yet? E2E will help you prepare and build your confidence to move onto a mainstream course.
This is a full-time study programme for learners aged 16 to 18 years, who would like to develop personal and social skills.
E2E also offers a programme for 14-16 year olds that are otherwise Home Educated.

This programme of Personal and Social Development with Employability skills will give you a much better chance to make the right choices about your future. Within the programme, there is the opportunity to get out of the classroom using practical skills that help you to engage in community projects and fundraising. Maths and English are embedded in the course.
This is a one-year full-time course for 16-18 year old learners who would like to develop personal and social skills, this will include work skills and work experience to enable you to make career choices. Each student will be allocated a personal tutor, and together they will agree a progression pathway depending on individual needs.
The study programme is for learners who:
- want to gain confidence and self-esteem.
- want to develop their independence skills.
- want to develop their personal and social skills.
- want to improve their Maths and English.
- need help in deciding their future.
- want to work towards employment.
Close links will be maintained with parents/carers, other external agencies and employers where appropriate.
This programme is also available at our North Devon Campus.
A full-time programme planned for a September start, but there may be a second start date in January, depending on demand. This Foundation Learning programme offers qualifications in Functional Skills, Personal and Social Development and employability skills.
The learner will study to achieve the following qualifications:
- Level 1 BTEC in Personal and Social Development
- Entry 3 City & Guilds Awards in Employability Skills, Planning for Life & Work, Volunteering.
Depending on your GCSE results, we will assess your Functional Skills levels in Maths and English and you will work towards a programme specifically created for you.
Other areas you will study include:
- Tutorial provision - i.e. group work, one-to-ones;
- Additional themed activities - i.e. employability, be safe for life;
- Enrichment/enhancement - i.e. paint balling and team games.
Work experience - each student will be expected to complete a 30-hour external work placement, we will assist you in doing this.
Ongoing continuous assessment within a supported environment.
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme other than the desire to study and develop into someone who is ready for employment or further training.
Applicants will need to attend all elements of the study programme and be part of a class.
An informal interview is part of the process.
Natural progression from this programme could be on to the Career Skills programme or other college courses. Equally, it can lead to employment, traineeships or apprenticeships.
Please bring with you: Your certificates of achievement, A4 folder, dividers, polypockets, pencil case with writing pens, coloured felt pens/pencils and money for print credits.
