Working with clay and plaster to create a variety of art pieces including characterful animals, figurative work and portraiture.
The workshops are suitable for beginners, or for those with more experience of handling clay.
Annette’s previous experience involves many years working in London as a freelance sculptor creating pieces for screen, stage and museums. Clients include Disney, Tussauds and Shepperton Studios.
Why not spend the evenings learning how to create sculpture to be proud of using techniques that are fun, expressive and gets the results you want.!
Over the course, you will explore sculpting using a broad variety of subject matter, the choice is yours! Create a Roman Bust, Moon Gazing Hare or character Labrador, there are no limits!
Basic skills will be demonstrated in the use of sculpting tools and armature making (if required). You will understand the shape and structure of the subject working from visual reference. Air drying clay can be painted, if desired, in a variety of finishes. (Bronze, marble etc).
There are no entry requirements. All levels of experience are catered for.
Basic tools and materials are provided but you may wish to buy your own.
Additional cost - You will need to purchase a suitable sturdy container to carry your work back and fore once you have discussed your project with the tutor.
