In order to study A-levels, you will need to hold a minimum of GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade 4 alongside three other GCSEs at Grade 4 or above. Some A-level subjects will require higher grades in certain areas and these will be discussed with you at interview.
A-levels are studied over two years which enables you to become immersed in your chosen subjects, studying them in depth. This level of study prepares you for the academic rigours of university and could also prepare you for a Level 6 work-related degree or Higher Level Apprenticeship.
There are almost 30 A-level subjects for you to choose from; all are designed to inspire and challenge you whilst also preparing you for university and your future career.
Our pass rate is currently above 99% and puts us well above the national average. Over half of our A-levels are achieved at grade A*, A or B.
You can choose up to three A-levels from our selection of courses. When you plan your programme think carefully about the subjects you enjoy most, your academic strengths and the subjects which will complement each other and will help to you when you are applying for university courses or future jobs. You will be interviewed by an A-level expert who will be able to guide you in your subject choices and combinations. You may also wish to join our Academic Academy to further support your studies.
