Higher National Diploma (HND) in Creative Media Production

If you want to work as a creator or technical expert in fields such as animation, web design or film, our new BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Creative Media Production is ideal.

This two-year higher education course is practical and vocationally focused; it will take you on a voyage of discovery into media that shapes, reflects and changes the world we live in today.

Whether you want to use the stunning nature of North Devon as a backdrop for your work or engage with communities on social issues, this course offers you the opportunity to learn a range of skills including documentary, filmmaking, photography and online media production.

By focussing on the creative and technical sides of digital media, you’ll develop the skills and professional expertise you need to go into various types of work in the creative industry, or you can continue your studies and top up your HND to a full Bachelor’s degree.

There is also an opportunity to have a 20-day work placement internship (including a generous bursary payment) with a creative business, a local/national charity or organisation.

During the course, you will cover a number of subject areas, including a module on the Creative Media Industry, an individual project in Year 1 and a group project in Year 2.
