This course will allow you to install, service, commission and fault find on gas fires and room heaters.

Assessors provide guidance, support and assistance in a realistic environment to build confidence and competence to work safely in the gas industry.

Once the training and assessments have been successfully completed, you will receive a certificate from the certification body. The certificate is proof of competence.

This course assesses your competence via practical assessments only.

Entry Requirements

Engineers need to hold their core domestic gas certificate (CCN1) and have previously undertaken the initial assessment of this course to be eligible for the re-assessment component.


Upon completion you will be able to install, service, commission and fault find on gas fires and room heaters.

Facilities and resources

Training takes place in our fully equipped Gas Training Workshop.


Q: Is there parking on site?

A: Pay and display parking is available in the car park adjacent to the workshop.

There is a charge of £1.20 for the full day.

Q: Do I need to wear PPE?

A: Candidates will need to wear suitable clothing and PPE while attending training courses.
