Practical and Theory Assessment for installing, servicing, commissioning and rectification of LPG Widney Fire ranges.

Assessors provide guidance, support and assistance in a realistic environment to build confidence and competence to work safely in the gas industry.

Units covered in this programme include:
– Identifying unsafe conditions
– Diagnosis of gas safety faults
– Suitable and unsuitable appliance room/space locations
– Flue installation and testing procedures
– Ventilation for flue cavity
– Operation of mechanical gas safety control devices
– Clearances proximity of combustible materials

Entry Requirements

You must hold the core domestic gas safe certificate (CCN1) to be able to take this course.


This course will enable you to expand your remit of work.

Facilities and resources

Training takes place in our Gas Training Workshop which is fully equipped with up-to-date assessment technology to maintain current industry standard expectations.

A: Pay and display parking is available in the car park adjacent to the workshop. There is a charge of £1.20 for the full day.
